Dr, Alexander Ilgen is Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Divisional Control Officer (DCO) for the Private Bank (PB) division.

In the Private Bank, Deutsche Bank bundles its private customer business in Germany and international business with private and corporate customers as well as wealthy customers. Both in the home market and internationally, the private customer bank offers its more than 20 million customers a wide range of financial services and high-quality investment advice.

After training as a bank clerk and completing his degree in business administration, Alexander Ilgen began his career at Roland Berger Consultants in 1998. During this time, he earned his doctorate while working. re. pole. at the University of Augsburg.

In 2004 he moved to Deutsche Bank, where he initially became Head of Controlling Cost & Investment Governance. Here he focused on the governance of Change the Bank projects in the area of ​​finance.

In 2005 he took over the position of COO for the Group Finance Division. There he managed all budgets and was responsible for governance issues and strategic projects in the field of finance worldwide.

In 2010 he was appointed CFO for Global Transaction Banking (GTB) and Head of Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) Finance Germany. He focused on the interface between finance and the GTB business worldwide as well as the CIB business in Germany.

In 2015 he then moved to the Private & Business Clients (PBC) division as CFO.
In 2016 he became CFO for the Private & Commercial Bank (PCB) division and served as COO for Deutsche Bank in Germany until May 2018. In June 2018, in addition to his CFO role for the segment, he became Chief Financial Officer of DB Privat- und Firmenkundenbank AG and, from April 2019 until the company was merged into Deutsche Bank AG, also worked as Deputy CEO.

Since May 2020, Dr. Ilgen CFO and COO for the Private Bank division, in May 2021 he also assumed responsibility as DCO for the division and is concentrating on the relevant control and regulatory issues.
