Interdisciplinary topics related to strategic organizational design

Our Teaching

We provide our students with comprehensive knowledge in the field of organizational design and management. They learn the basic concepts and principles for structuring companies, defining roles and responsibilities and designing hierarchies and departments. In addition, strategic corporate management is covered, examining how organizational structures can support and influence corporate strategy. Another focus is on the design and management of processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

Organizational behavior and corporate culture are also key topics that our students learn about in terms of their importance for organizational design and strategic orientation. The integration of digital technologies into the organizational structure is also dealt with in depth in view of increasing digitalization. The importance of organizational learning and the ability to adapt to change are also taught.

Our professorship also focuses on network organizations and collaboration, which are becoming increasingly important in a global and digitally networked working environment. Topics such as change management and the successful implementation of change processes, including overcoming resistance, round off the course. Furthermore, current research topics such as new organizational models and hybrid work structures are covered in order to provide our students with an understanding of future-oriented organizational design.
