Course Description

This seminar introduces participants to interdisciplinary approaches to theory development and guides them in integrating these approaches into their own research, fostering innovative perspectives while maintaining conceptual rigor in theorizing and hypotheses development.

Assignment / Grading

Participants are expected to actively engage in class discussions and to prepare and present a research proposal that aims to contribute to existing theory. Particular emphasis will be placed on clearly articulating the intended contribution and on deriving well-founded hypotheses. Grades will be based on a presentation (15-minute presentation followed by a 15-minute discussion) that focuses on the following elements: the contribution statement, theoretical background, and hypotheses.
