Advanced Issues in PLS-SEM

27 Oct 2023

We are happy to announce the publication of the second edition of “Advanced Issues in Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling.”

Authored by Joe F. Hair (University of South Alabama), Marko Sarstedt (LMU Munich), Christian M. Ringle (TU Hamburg-Harburg), and Siggi P. Gudergan (James Cook University) and published by Sage, the book covers several advanced methods and routines that users of partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) need to model and estimate the increasingly complex models that characterize today’s research in the social sciences. Apart from numerous extensions of the previous edition’s contents (e.g., higher-order models, covering observed and unobserved heterogeneity), the book has a new subchapter on the necessary condition analysis (NCA). The NCA complements the sufficiency logic implied by standard PLS-SEM analyses by identifying a model’s should-have conditions.
