The LMU Munich School of Management welcomes its new employees for the wintersemester.
At the start of the winter semester, 26 new employees began their work at the LMU Munich School of Management.
The onboarding program SOM.WELCOME, organized by the LMU Munich School of Management, takes place twice a year and is designed to provide the new employees with comprehensive and valuable information to ensure a warm and smooth transition into their positions. The onboarding program helps them navigate the organization of the faculty.
The new team members were warmly welcomed by the Dean, Prof. Dr. Christian Hofmann, as well as by the heads of the respective departments and programs of the faculty, and by their future colleagues. They had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with their new work environment and establish initial contacts.
The onboarding program includes targeted introductions and information sessions implemented at the respective institutes to equip the new employees with the necessary skills, contact opportunities, and knowledge for their new tasks on-site. Additionally, the new team members were introduced to the corporate identity of the LMU Munich School of Management.
The prospective doctoral students also received information about the postgraduate MBR program and a subsequent mentoring program.
"We are happy to welcome new employees to our team every semester," said Dr. Marco van Baal, Managing Director of the LMU Munich School of Management. "Their commitment will contribute to advancing our organization and continuing our mission of excellence in research and teaching."
The program is supported and equipped with "goodie bags" by the faculty's own alumni management. "We are happy to support this event every semester. It is important to us that the employees feel welcome from the start and know what support opportunities we can offer them throughout their careers," emphasized Dr. Bettina Wachtel, Managing Director of LMU Management Alumni.
The LMU Munich School of Management is renowned for its international orientation, research, and teaching. With its wide range of study programs and its close connection to the business world, it prepares its students for leadership positions in national and international companies. The new employees are an essential part of the team, contributing to strengthening the faculty’s position at one of Europe’s leading universities.
