Prof. Dr. Christian Hofmann is the new Dean of the LMU Munich School of Management

Prof. Dr. Christian Hofmann, Institute for Accounting and Control, took over as dean at the start of the new winter semester.

"The faculty can look back on a fifty-year success story. I am particularly proud of the great students and graduates of our Bachelor, Master and PhD programs," says Prof. Dr. Christian Hofmann.

In the next two years, he aims to further promote the research excellence of the LMU School of Management, especially in interdisciplinary collaboration. Furthermore, he would like to strengthen teaching through networked collaboration in science-practice transfer.

"The research at the LMU School of Management is very impressive. With the digital transformation and the legitimacy and responsibility of companies, two fundamental topics are formative for our teaching and research, which we want to continue to advance in the future," emphasizes Prof. Dr. Christian Hofmann.

Another goal of his tenure will be to further expand the international orientation and to intensify the cooperation with renowned universities and business organizations worldwide, so that students and researchers can benefit from a broad international network.

We warmly welcome Prof. Dr. Christian Hofmann and look forward to his two-year tenure as Dean of the Faculty.
