As part of the Accounting Research Workshop (ARW), Prof. Dr. Christian Leuz (University of Chicago) presented his research on banks' proprietary trading.
Christian Leuz (University of Chicago), whose research in accounting and finance is influential worldwide, presented his research on proprietary trading by banks operating in Germany on June 26th. The use of big data to identify potential insider trading was of particular interest. Prof. Dr. Leuz received the invitation from the Accounting and Taxation (ACT) Cluster of the LMU School of Management at the initiative of Prof. Dr. Sellhorn.
