Dr. Camila Back received the Förderpreis der Münchener Universitätsgesellschaft for her dissertation "The Behavioral Economics of Digital Customer-Firm Interactions"

In her dissertation, Dr. Camila Back on how the digitization of interactions between customers and companies is affecting customer behavior.

The focus was on automated digital forms of interaction such as chatbots or recommendation systems that make it easier for customers to obtain information relevant to their purchase.

Dr. Camila Back dealt with the question to what extent these digital forms of interaction improve the quality of consumer decisions and how they ultimately influence customer satisfaction.

The theoretical framework was formed by behavioral economics, an area located at the interface between psychology and economics.

Dr. Back completed her dissertation at the Institute for Electronic Commerce and Digital Markets and received the Förderpreis der Münchener Universitätsgesellschaft on the occasion of the 551st Foundation Festival of the LMU.

Camila Back currently works as a manager in the Business to Partners (B2P) department at Telefónica Germany GmbH & Co. OHG.
