Risk Management Corporate Talks

The Munich Risk and Insurance Center is proud to host a series of corporate talks, offering a deep dive into the multifaceted aspects of risk management, as part of the course Case Studies in Enterprise Risk Management. This series, open to all LMU students of business administration, business education, economics and (business) mathematics, provides a unique blend of theoretical knowledge and practical insights. It is specifically designed to enhance practical understanding and features presentations by executives from leading international companies.

In this series, students will have the opportunity to engage directly with industry professionals, gaining firsthand knowledge of how ERM is implemented and managed in various corporate settings. These interactions are crucial for understanding the complexity and dynamism of risk management in today's business landscape. The talks cover a range of topics, from identifying and evaluating (emerging) risks such as AI related risks to integrating ERM into strategic planning and corporate governance.

Registration for Case Studies in Enterprise Risk Management is open to all students, but we understand that not all students have the opportunity to commit to the entire seminar. Therefore, we allow access to individual presentations even without attending the seminar. This gives all students the chance to benefit from the expert insights, presented content and real-life case studies and to expand their knowledge.

We ask for your understanding that in case of a high level of interest in our lecture series, students taking Case Studies in Enterprise Risk Management will be given priority. This is to ensure that these students have the opportunity to attend the corporate talks that are an integral part of the seminar. Students enrolled in Case Studies in Enterprise Risk Management are automatically registered for all corporate talks and do not need to register separately.

The corporate talks series is not only a learning opportunity but also a platform for networking and gaining industry contacts, which can be invaluable for future careers.
