Academic graduation ceremony
Our academic graduation ceremony will take place on May 13, 2026, in the Great Hall (Große Aula) in the LMU Main Building.
In a festive setting, we will bid farewell to all students who completed their studies in the winter semester 2025/26. To participate, you must have your transcript issued by the ISC by March 31, 2026!
All graduates who are eligible to participate will automatically receive an invitation from us. In this invitation, you will find a link to the registration form.
You can specify up to two accompanying persons for the ceremony.
Procedure of the Academic Graduation Ceremony
Admission to the main auditorium begins at 5:30 pm. The official farewell ceremony will commence at 6:00 pm and will last approximately two hours.
All graduates who have registered in advance will be called to the stage individually by name and will receive a commemorative letter for graduates. Doctoral candidates and prize winners will be honored in a separate segment of the ceremony. The program will be accompanied by musical performances.
Detailed information on the exact schedule and line-up will be sent via email on Monday, 11th of May.
Following the official ceremony, all participants are warmly invited to celebrate their achievements at a champagne reception in the atrium. This is an opportunity to toast the successful completion of studies, doctoral degrees, and special honors.
