An open day at the LMU Munich School of Management
On June 28, 2024, our second anniversary event took place: an open day followed by a summer party. The faculty opened its doors to interested parties, alumni and employees for a whole day and provided insights into research and administration.
Visitors were able to learn about the research areas and work in the various institutes and were given the opportunity to find out about the work of the Center of Excellence and the Alumni Association. The Student Office and the International Relations Center offered the opportunity to learn about the study programs offered at the faculty and abroad.
There were many opportunities to meet employees and ask questions. There were numerous opportunities to talk and discuss things together in the courtyard and at the meeting places.
The supporting program also offered entertainment and information: there were guided tours of the library and the fresco hall and short presentations were held in Pecha Kucha format. The highlight was a lively discussion in fish bowl format, in which everyone was warmly invited to join in the discussion.
As a transition to the evening program and thus to the summer party, the dean gave a short speech and handed over to the improv theater. Spontaneous, funny and informative, the "fastfood theater" performed short scenes related to our research topics and the faculty itself.
The summer party was the crowning conclusion to a successful day. Students, employees and alumni were able to network and chat with each other over music, drinks and burgers until 10 p.m.
