Project Course

The project course allows students to work on a concrete business problem for one semester, dealing with e-commerce and digital markets in a broader sense. Students will work on relevant issues closely with the respective partner company. The presentations created serve as a practical basis for decision-making of the partner company.

Course Content

The project course offers students the opportunity to work on a specific business problem for the duration of a semester, which broadly deals with digitalisation and electronic processes in digital markets, and the students work in a team directly with the contact persons of the partner company. The presentations created should serve as a practical basis for decision-making of the partner company.

Course Organization

The course is aimed at students of the M.Sc. Business Administration and is also offered as a substitute for students of the M.Sc. MMT who go abroad in winter semester and therefore cannot participate in the therein provided Business Development Project course offered by DMM.

  • Prerequisites: none, attendance of the course "New Products – From Ideas to Markets" (until 2024) or "Digital Technologies, Business Analytics and Management" is recommended
  • Capacity limitation: yes

  • Business Administration: Application and participant allocation is done centrally (faculty-wide) in fall/winter of the previous year.

  • MMT: Students who go abroad in winter semester and therefore would like to bring forward their project course to summer semester, please contact Sophie Berghüser sending your CV and grades transcript (alternatively: Bachelor certificate) by end-January at the latest. There will also be an official communication for MMT students.

As part of the project course, students will work on practically relevant problems in close cooperation with the respective partner company. In the past, the project courses were conducted with Hubert Burda Media, Messe München and Telefónica, for instance.
