Welcome Devesh Joshi to the team

Devesh is a new Doctoral student in the Professorship for Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Sustainability. His research is funded by the German Academic Scholarship Foundation. He is also a recipient of the Marianne Plehn Program of the Elite Network of Bavaria.

Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ali Aslan Gümüsay, Devesh’s research examines how social enterprises navigate institutional complexity to address grand challenges in non-Western contexts.

Before joining LMU Munich, Devesh worked in strategy and research across the public and private sectors, including roles at Ernst & Young and the Government of India. He also co-founded a social venture and was recognised with a Forbes India 30 Under 30 Special Mention in 2023 for his work advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Devesh holds an MSc in Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship from the London School of Economics and a BA (Hons.) in Economics from the University of Delhi, where he graduated with first division.
