The eligibility procedure is conducted by a selection committee appointed by the Faculty Council of the Faculty of Business Administration.
1. Complete application within the deadline
Admission to the suitability procedure requires that all necessary documents are submitted in due time.
The complete application (incl. receipt of the written application at the Student Office) with proof of the required admission prerequisites (see point 4) must be submitted by May 15.
Accepted applicants will be invited to the entrance exam. If a GMAT test is available, it replaces the entrance exam. The result of the GMAT test must be submitted together with the other application documents.
Exception: Applicants who have submitted a diploma or transcript of records from a first degree program in Human Resource Education & Management II with an average grade of 1.0 or better will be classified as "suitable" and admitted directly to the selection interview. This regulation applies only to the field of study II.
2. Entrance exam
The entrance exam consists of six parts in total, which are asked in multiple-choice format (5-3-1 rule).
- Research Methods (One Part)
- HRE&M I (One Part)
- HRE&M II (One Part)
- HRE&M III (One Part)
- Two out of six possible ABWLs (Risk Management, Corporate Accounting, Digital Enterprise, Competition and Strategy, People and Organization, International Management).
The underlying literature for the business education part as well as general information on the test procedure can be found in our information sheet (PDF, 130 KB)(as of 21.12.2022). The underlying literature for the two ABWLs that you can choose freely can be found in the information sheet (PDF, 148 KB) (as of 20.01.2023) for the Master's Entrance Examination for Business Administration. The examined ABWL part for the Master Business Education is identical to the ABWL part for the Master Business Administration.
This year's entrance exam will be held on 09 June 2023.
3. Selection interview
After passing the entrance exam or a GMAT test (≥ 600 points), applicants are invited to participate in a selection interview. The exact date of the interview will be announced by e-mail at least two weeks in advance.
Important note: Anyone who does not appear at the appointed time is considered to be ineligible. Reasons to justify the absence for which the candidate is not responsible must be submitted in writing to the chairperson of the selection committee by the beginning of the scheduled appointment and must be substantiated.
The admission decision to the master's program and, if applicable, information on enrollment will subsequently be communicated in writing.
Only applications that are complete in terms of the eligibility statutes and received by the deadline have a legal right to be included in the examination process for admission to the master's program.
