Felix Siegel receives young talent award for good teaching

For his teaching in the past semester, Felix Siegel has received the award for good teaching from the board of the student council Wasti e.V.. The prize was awarded based on an online vote among the students of the faculty.

Felix Siegel has been holding the first semester course "Technique of Managerial Accounting" for several years in addition to the master's exercise "International Taxation" and was thus able to reach a particularly large number of students.

Especially for the return to the lecture hall after the digital pandemic semesters, Felix Siegel developed a so-called flipped classroom teaching concept in the winter semester 2022/2023, which is based on both online and classroom teaching. Lecture and exercise material is taught via videos available online, while at the same time the content is repeated interactively in the lecture hall, with many opportunities for questions from the students.

With interactive quizzes, the students could test their knowledge live in a playful way. As a motivation, a quiz winner was chosen for each lecture and rewarded with a small prize and the applause of the fellow students.
