The prize is awarded annually for outstanding research achievements in the field of accounting and auditing. The Institute of Accounting and Auditing at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich organises the annual award ceremony, which focuses on the best academic work at the Institute of Accounting and Auditing. Deloitte honours the excellent achievements with a financial award, which is intended to serve as an incentive for further first-class research work. The event will be rounded off with a get-together that will allow guests from academia and practice to exchange ideas.
