Catastrophe Risk Management Seminar in the Winter Semester 2023

Our Catastrophe Risk Management seminar equipped students with essential strategies to tackle global challenges like climate change and pandemics.
As global catastrophes become more common, the next generation of leaders will need to know how to manage the risks and create resilient institutions. On December 18 and 19, Munich Risk and Insurance Center (MRIC) @ LMU Munich hosted the Catastrophe Risk Management seminar for students to discuss how to strategically address the challenges of climate change, pandemics, terrorism, and more.
The international group included students from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München and Florida State University. Many thanks to Patty Born, PhD, CIC of Florida State University, Alexander Bohnert of Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences, and Ulrike Leyherr of Allianz for their insights and guidance. And congratulations to the students for an enriching and successful seminar.
