A new anthology brings together the most important findings and recommendations on knowledge transfer from various projects funded under the BMFTR funding line “Research on Knowledge Transfer” (“Forschung zum Wissenstransfer”). The book examines the forms that knowledge transfer takes, the relevant barriers and conditions for successful transfer from universities, and the significance of knowledge transfer for universities’ institutional development. Prof. Dr. Jelena Spanjol and Fiona Witzigmann from the IIM served as co-editors of the publication. In Chapter 3, they provide insights into selected findings from our HolistiQ research project. The chapter examines the role that a targeted university strategy and the allocation of responsibilities at the leadership level play in successful knowledge transfer, as well as how the interplay between centralized and decentralized structures shapes its implementation.
You can find both the chapter and the full edited volume here (in German): Spanjol, J., & Witzigmann, F. (2025).
