We are part of the Finance & Insurance Cluster @LMU. Our research and teaching focuses on individual and organizational decision-making under risk and uncertainty. Our research covers general theories of decision-making as well as applications to insurance markets, operational risk management and national security.

Prof. Dr. Johannes Jaspersen

I am heading the Behavioral Risk Management and Insurance professorship at LMU Munich. As an applied economist, I consider theoretical and experimental questions with applications to insurance, prevention, decision analysis, risk theory and national security. While much of my research falls into the broad category of behavioral economics, I also have projects in more classical theoretical settings.

The LMU Munich School of Management is 50 years old this year. In 1974, the Faculty of Public Economics was split into a Faculty of Business Administration and a Faculty of Economics. Reason enough to share this joy with you with two anniversary events!
