24 Mar 2022

We congratulate Tobias Kretschmer (Institute for Strategy, Technology and Organization | LMU Munich), Michael Koch (Universität der Bundeswehr München), and Klaus Moser (Friedrich-Alexander-University of Erlangen-Nürnberg) for receiving the 2021 interdisciplinary research grant by the Bavarian Research Institute for Digital Transformation (BIDT). They will start pursuing their research project on "Digital Collaboration Platforms as Enablers of Organizational Exchange" in early 2022.

The project explores on motivators and inhibitors of individual collaboration platform usage within the realms of organizations. Doing so, the researchers strive to identify concrete and actionable levers of technology-based interaction while also testing for new, responsive features of platforms designed to stimulate member engagement.

The research associates Maren Mickeler (Institute for Strategy, Technology and Organization | LMU Munich), Laura Stojko (Universität der Bundeswehr München), and Roman Soucek (Friedrich-Alexander-University of Erlangen-Nürnberg) will complement the team.

The Bavarian Research Institute for Digital Transformation, as part of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences, annually supports new research projects, exploring the opportunities and risks of digital transformation in today's society. After a two-stage evaluation process including 68 total applications, the research project of Kretschmer, Koch, and Moser was selected as one of five funded initiatives. The selection criteria are excellent scientific quality, an interdisciplinary approach, and the social and political relevance of the proposed topics.
