Tobias Kretschmer elected as incoming Chairperson and Associate Program Chair of SMS Knowledge & Innovation Interest Group

In the final minutes of the old year, exciting news reached our chair: Tobias Kretschmer, Director of ISTO and Dean of the Munich School of Management, has been elected as incoming Chair of the Strategic Management Society’s (SMS) Knowledge & Innovation (K&I) Interest Group. Amongst the twelve Interest Groups within the SMS, K&I takes the second rank in absolute member size and is intended to act as a catalyst for building and disseminating new ideas in research, practice, and teaching around a set of core issues in the field. Being elected a member of the three-person-leadership board, responsibilities change on a yearly basis. Starting off with the position of Associate Program Chair, Tobias Kretschmer will work with Elena Novelli (Cass Business School, City University, London) as Program Chair and Marie Louise Mors (Copenhagen Business School) as Chair. “I am very excited and honored to have been elected into this role and look very much forward to work together with Elena and Louise, and to be able to represent LMU Munich in the K&I group as well as the SMS in general”, says Tobias Kretschmer.
