The Academic Graduation Ceremony

Last week, it was time once again: The faculty bid farewell to its graduates and doctoral candidates with a festive academic graduation ceremony held in the Great Hall of the LMU main building. The event, organized twice a year with dedication by the faculty’s alumni management team, provided a memorable highlight and a fitting conclusion to the long journey at the faculty for all former students and academic staff.

The spotlight of the evening was on the young people who are now embarking on their journey into the professional world. The ceremonial farewell, accompanied by a heartfelt musical performance, lent the evening a dignified and inspiring atmosphere. Particularly moving moments included the presentation of graduation certificates and the awarding of prizes recognizing the outstanding achievements of individual students.

Following the ceremony, a champagne reception invited graduates, along with their families and friends, to celebrate their success appropriately. The joy and pride were palpable in every conversation and smile. Commemorative photos—whether in formal robes or with graduation caps—captured these special moments for eternity.

The LMU Munich School of Management looks back on this special evening with gratitude and joy. It was not only an opportunity to honor the hard work of the graduates and doctoral candidates but also to strengthen the close bond between them and the faculty.

With each graduating class, the faculty’s alumni family continues to grow, and the joy of accompanying these young talents on their journey extends into the future through the alumni association, which offers numerous events and engagements.
