New employees started at LMU Munich School of Management in the summer semester.
The LMU Munich School of Management welcomes its new employees for the summer semester.
SOM.WELCOME, the LMU Munich School of Management's onboarding program, welcomes new employees at the start of each semester.
During onboarding, faculty staff introduce their areas of work and programs. The aim is to inform new employees about the work of the faculty and enable them to settle into their positions smoothly.
The new team members were warmly welcomed by Dean Prof. Dr. Christian Hofmann. Afterwards, the heads of the respective departments gave an insight into their work and presented programs and important contact points. Prior to this, the new employees had already had the opportunity to spend a few days or months getting to know their new working environment at the institutes and professorships and to make initial contacts.
"We are delighted to welcome new employees to our team every semester," says Dr. Marco van Baal, Managing Director of the LMU Munich School of Management. "Their commitment contributes to the success of our organization and ultimately to our excellent research and teaching."
The onboarding program includes targeted introductions and information that are implemented in the respective institutes to provide new employees with the skills, contacts, and knowledge they need for their new tasks on site. In addition, the new team members were able to familiarize themselves with the corporate identity of the LMU Munich School of Management.
In addition, prospective doctoral candidates received information about the MBR postgraduate program and a subsequent mentoring program.
The onboarding event ended with the legendary "goodie bags" from the faculty's own alumni management team.
"We are happy to support this event every semester. It is important to us that employees feel welcome right from the start and know what support opportunities we can offer them during their careers," emphasizes Dr. Bettina Wachtel, Managing Director of LMU Management Alumni.
The LMU Munich School of Management is renowned for its international orientation, research, and teaching. With its wide range of programs and close ties to business, it prepares its students for leadership positions in national and international companies. The new employees are an important part of the team working to strengthen the faculty's position at one of Europe's leading universities.
The LMU Munich School of Management wishes all new employees a successful start!
